(Kitco News) The crypto market is in a panic mode as digital assets lost $800 billion in market value over the past month, according to CoinMarketCap's data. The shift in sentiment comes as investors revaluate risk assets ahead of a much tighter monetary policy worldwide.

In its latest round of volatility, Bitcoin plummeted to $29,330, touching the lowest level in ten months. Other crypto assets also tumbled. The world's second-largest cryptocurrency Ethereum touched a daily low of $2,165, also marking the lowest level in ten months. Solana briefly traded below $50, and Cardano touched $0.54.

Bitcoin price really fell a lot over a 2-week period. From about 50,000 CAD to 38,700 CAD. There is extreme panic, indeed.

Really a lot of value of the total assets was lost - $800 billion over the past month.

I am sure glad that I didn't have any money in Bitcoin. Even effects of inflation are not as bad as the bitcoin price falls.
